AVIVA Memory Care: A Holistic Approach to Care

At AVIVA, we utilize knowledge from an individual’s Lifetime Memoir to aid in the development of each whole-person care plan. This information, along with pertinent medical information from the resident’s medical team, will be utilized to create a whole-person care plan for every specialty care resident.

Each of our residents has abilities, skills and interest, unique to them. At AVIVA, we focus on the abilities of each of our residents (rather than inabilities and barriers) and use the uniqueness of each individual to tailor a holistic approach to care.

Pain is the leading cause of challenging behaviors related to dementia. Many people living with dementia have difficulty communicating pain; our specialty care team members are trained to recognize the non-verbal signs of pain and respond with solutions tailored for that individual.
